The Minnesota Vikings are open to trading standout pass-rusher Jonathan Greenard, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Minnesota reportedly wants to keep Greenard but is exploring trade options amid its salary-cap issues. The team is $46.6 million over the projected $301.2 million cap for the 2026 season, according to Over the Cap.

The Vikings could save $12.2 million in cap space if they trade Greenard prior to June 1. The Florida product will carry a $22.1 million cap hit in 2026.

Greenard posted back-to-back seasons with at least 12 sacks in 2023 and 2024, though his production dipped in 2025.

After earning his first career Pro Bowl nod in 2024, Greenard recorded 10 tackles for loss and three sacks in 12 games last season before being placed on injured reserve.

The Vikings have attempted to cut their salary in recent weeks by parting with veteran players. Aaron Jones Sr. and Javon Hargrave are reportedly expected to be released later in March.
