Star edge rusher Rashan Gary suggested Friday that he's moving on from the Green Bay Packers in a since-deleted Instagram post.

"When I got the call in 2019, it was one of the greatest moments of my life," Gary said in the post, which was saved by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Gary added, "The opportunity to represent Green Bay and Packers Nation across the country and around the world is something that I will never forget.

"Like all chapters in life, this one has come to an end."

The post was deleted shortly thereafter. Pelissero reports that the former Pro Bowl selection has not been traded or released, citing a source.

Gary's Instagram account was hacked, a source told ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Gary had been the subject of trade discussions prior to his deleted post. The 28-year-old is set to carry a $28-million cap hit for the 2026 season, according to Over the Cap. Green Bay would be able to create $10.9 million in cap space by trading Gary prior to June 1.

The Michigan product finished with 7.5 sacks in both his 2024 and 2025 campaigns. The Packers expected Gary to be one half of a formidable tandem after acquiring Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys.

Gary's recorded 46.5 sacks and 46 tackles for loss over seven seasons with Green Bay.
