Report: Cowboys trade Odighizuwa to 49ers
The Dallas Cowboys are trading defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2026 third-round pick, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
The 49ers were among the teams that were rumored to be calling the Cowboys about their starting defensive tackle. Odighizuwa became expendable with Dallas boasting a surplus of talent at the position in Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark, and the newly signed Otito Ogbonnia.
Odighizuwa inked a four-year, $80-million extension with the Cowboys last offseason. He's scheduled to earn a $16.25-million base salary in 2026.
The 27-year-old has been a starter for the Cowboys since being drafted in the third round in 2021. Odighizuwa has tallied 216 tackles, 17 sacks, and two forced fumbles over his career.
Odighizuwa should inject life into a 49ers' pass-rushing unit that had only 20 sacks last year, the fewest in the NFL.
