Chromiak was unable to flourish during the first half of the 2019-20 season playing a limited role in Slovakia's top professional league. He was able to showcase his gifted offensive skill set with the Frontenacs, though, while playing on the team's top line with 15-year-old phenom Shane Wright and fellow draft-eligible forward Zayde Wisdom.

Those who believe Wright carried Chromiak are sorely mistaken. Wright truly took off after Chromiak arrived in Kingston, recording 22 goals and 14 assists in his final 28 games after only notching 17 tallies and 13 helpers in his first 30 contests.

Chromiak is one of the youngest players in the draft with a late August birthday. He has outstanding vision, elite hands, and a very dangerous shot despite scoring only 11 goals in the OHL. Some scouts are concerned that he lacks pace and is too much of a perimeter player, though.

What they're saying

"Martin has elite smarts, an elite shot, and he's an elite skater," Frontenacs assistant coach Luca Caputi told theScore back in May.
