The 2025 NHL Draft will be held June 27 and 28 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, sources confirmed to ESPN's Greg Wyshynski.
It will be the league's first decentralized draft. Top prospects and league representatives will be in attendance, but teams will make picks from their own facilities like the NFL, NBA, and MLB do.
Commissioner Gary Bettman will still announce the picks on-site.
American forward James Hagens and Canadian defenseman Matthew Schaefer are among the prospects expected to be in contention for the first overall pick.
The draft lottery date hasn't been announced yet, but it's typically held during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
