Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle sustained a lower-body injury Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets and will require further evaluation, the team announced.
Guhle lost an edge and crashed awkwardly into the boards during the third period of Montreal's 4-1 loss. He appeared to be favoring his right leg but left the ice under his own power.

Guhle already missed time earlier this season with an upper-body injury.
The 23-year-old managed 14 points in 43 games entering Tuesday while ranking third on the team in average ice time (21:18). Montreal signed him to a six-year, $33.3-million extension in the offseason.
