The Chicago Blackhawks recalled 2024 second overall pick Artyom Levshunov from the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, the team announced Sunday.

Levshunov has five goals and 22 points in 50 AHL games this season and leads all AHL rookies with 137 shots on goal. The right-handed defenseman has taken positive steps over the campaign and has been hot over his last 14 contests, posting three goals and 11 points.

Chicago briefly recalled the Belarusian during the AHL's All-Star break, but he only participated in practices.

Levshunov could make his NHL debut as soon as Monday against the Colorado Avalanche.

Chicago drafted the 6-foot-2 rearguard after he produced 35 points in 38 games with Michigan State last season. Levshunov is the highest drafted Belarusian in NHL history and would be the sixth player from his nation to play in the league this season.

The Blackhawks traded top-pairing, right-handed defenseman Seth Jones to the Florida Panthers on March 3 for goaltender Spencer Knight and a first-round pick.
