Devils sign KHL standout Gritsyuk to 1-year ELC
The New Jersey Devils signed forward Arseniy Gritsyuk to a one-year, entry-level contract starting next season, the team announced Tuesday.
Gritsyuk tallied 17 goals and 44 points in 49 games with SKA Saint Petersburg this season, finishing 12th in the KHL in points per game and posting a plus-22.
The 24-year-old has racked up 67 goals and 150 points in 204 KHL contests since becoming a regular in the league in 2021. He won the KHL Rookie of the Year in 2022.
Gritsyuk played at the 2022 Olympics for the Russian Olympic Committee, recording one goal and three points in six games en route to a silver medal. He also represented Russia at the 2021 world juniors.
The 6-foot-0, 194-pound winger can play both sides but shoots left-handed.
The Devils drafted Gritsyuk in the fifth round, 129th overall, in 2019. He'll be a restricted free agent next summer.
