Matt Rempe signed a two-year extension with the New York Rangers, the team announced Wednesday.
The extension comes with an average annual value of $975,000.
Rempe played 42 games for the Rangers in 2024-25, notching three goals, five assists, and a team-high 67 penalty minutes. He was set to become a restricted free agent July 1.
The 22-year-old center dealt with injuries and a suspension over the campaign. Rempe was suspended for eight games for elbowing Dallas Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen, his second multi-game ban in two seasons.
The Rangers missed the playoffs in 2024-25, after winning the Presidents' Trophy the season prior.
