The Carolina Hurricanes signed forward Logan Stankoven to an eight-year contract extension with a $6-million cap hit, the team announced Tuesday.
Stankoven has one year left on his entry-level contract, and his new deal will commence in the 2026-27 campaign.
The 22-year-old notched 14 goals and 38 points in 78 games this season with the Hurricanes and Dallas Stars. He tallied five goals and eight points in 15 postseason contests to rank fifth on Carolina in playoff scoring.
Carolina acquired Stankoven midseason in the Mikko Rantanen trade.
Stankoven was drafted 47th overall in 2021 by Dallas. He's accumulated 20 goals and 52 points in 102 games and added eight goals and 16 points in 34 playoff contests over two runs.
