New York Rangers captain J.T. Miller is getting fed up with the team's inability to win at Madison Square Garden.

"It's just not acceptable, at home, to not get the job done at the end of the day," Miller told reporters following New York's 3-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.

The Rangers own the worst home record in the NHL at 0-5-1. Tuesday marked the fourth time they've been shut out at MSG.

Miller, who was handed the "C" prior to the start of the 2025-26 season, took accountability for the team's struggles.

"It starts with me," he said. "I got to be more hard on pucks in scoring areas. There's moments in the game where we can turn the tide with a chance or a goal and I'm not doing it. I need to be better. I need to lead better for these guys."

Miller has managed three goals and five assists in 14 games this season. All of his goals and three of his assists have come on the road, where the Rangers are an impressive 6-1-1.

An abysmal power play has played a major role in New York's offensive woes. The Rangers are last in the league with the man advantage, converting on just four of 36 opportunities.
