Robert MacIntyre is the leader in the clubhouse at the U.S. Open after a perfectly played 17th hole saw him get to 1-over at Oakmont.
A textbook drive left him just short of the green off the tee and he was able to nestle a putt just short of the hole before holing out for birdie.
The Scottish star began the day seven strokes behind the lead, a deficit that would match the U.S. Open record for largest comeback should he end up winning the event.
