Reese scores 19 in return as Sky's comeback vs. Storm falls short
Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese returned to the starting lineup for Tuesday's 94-88 defeat against the Seattle Storm.
Reese had missed the last seven games due to a back injury. She tallied 19 points, seven boards, four assists, and one block in 26 minutes of action, but the Sky's comeback bid fell short.
Reese was on a minutes restriction in her first appearance since July 29.
Chicago went 1-6 with the two-time All-Star out of the lineup.
Reese was building on her solid rookie campaign prior to being sidelined, averaging 14.2 points, 12.6 boards, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals across 23 appearances this season.
Her 17 doubles-doubles are tied for the league lead with Alyssa Thomas.
The Sky are scoring 6.9 more points per 100 possessions with Reese on the floor this season.
