Grimace has officially been immortalized at Citi Field.

The New York Mets unveiled a new purple seat at their ballpark on Monday to honor the beloved McDonald's mascot, who's become something of a good luck charm for them this season.

The seat's location - No. 12 in the sixth row of section 302 - isn't without meaning. Grimace famously threw out the first pitch on June 12 at Citi Field, which coincided with the beginning of a seven-game winning streak.

Monday's unveiling is part of the Mets' fan appreciation night, at which Grimace is expected to appear.

The Mets have rebounded from a 29-37 start to the season and are tied for the final NL wild-card spot with an 81-68 record.

New York is set to kick off a three-game series against the Washington Nationals on Monday.
