Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman believes he'll be in the lineup for Game 1 of the World Series on Friday.

Freeman said the extended gap between the NLCS and World Series has been beneficial and allowed him to get off his feet and continue to get treatment.

"With this time off, it's going to be a 100% go for me in Game 1, and then we'll adjust off of that," Freeman said Tuesday, according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times.

The 35-year-old has been in and out of the Dodgers' playoff lineups due to the injury he sustained against the San Diego Padres in the division series. He was originally expected to require four-to-six weeks of recovery.

Freeman owns a .219/.242/.219 slash line in eight postseason games.
