Boone: Judge among this generation's greatest players, HOF no-brainer
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone holds Aaron Judge in high regard and believes the slugger is destined for Cooperstown once his career comes to an end.
"Yes," Boone replied when asked if Judge is a future Hall of Famer, according to YES Network.
"I think he's (one of) this generation's greatest players. And I think it's a no-brainer."
Boone's assessment came Friday after the 32-year-old hit his league-leading sixth home run of the season during his 1,000th career game, a 9-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Judge has been terrific to kick off 2025, but the outfielder's body of work has been outstanding since he debuted for the Bronx Bombers in 2016.
The Yankees captain is a two-time AL MVP, six-time All-Star, and former Rookie of the Year with 321 homers and a 1.015 career OPS on his resume.
