The Boston Red Sox activated third baseman Alex Bregman from the injured list Friday.

Bregman will hit second and man third against the Tampa Bay Rays as the Red Sox look to extend their season-best seven-game winning streak.

Bregman, who was selected to play in the All-Star Game but won't participate, has been sidelined since May 23 due to a quad strain.

The 31-year-old was one of Boston's best hitters before the injury, slashing .299/.385/.553 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs in 51 outings.

The Red Sox also activated right-hander Hunter Dobbins from the IL. Infielder David Hamilton and reliever Isaiah Campbell were optioned to Triple-A in the roster shuffle.
