Nationals agree to 1-year deal with Littell

The Washington Nationals agreed to a one-year, $7-million deal with right-hander Zack Littell.
The 30-year-old receives a $3 million salary as part of a deal that includes a $12 million mutual option with a $4 million buyout.
Littell made 32 starts for the Tampa Bay Rays and Cincinnati Reds last season, authoring a 3.81 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 186 2/3 innings.
The signing would give the Nationals another veteran arm in their rotation alongside Miles Mikolas, whom Washington signed as a free agent in February.
The Nationals' projected rotation is expected to include Mikolas, Littell, and some combination of Cade Cavalli, Brad Lord, Josiah Gray, and Foster Griffin.
