Nets' Harris to miss 4-8 weeks after ankle surgery

Brooklyn Nets wing Joe Harris is set to undergo surgery on his ankle Monday, head coach Steve Nash told reporters, according to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk.

Harris is expected to miss four-to-eight weeks after the surgery, his agent told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The procedure is expected to address "a little bone particle" in Harris' left ankle, head coach Steve Nash said.

The 30-year-old missed Brooklyn's last six games after spraining his ankle during a Nov. 14 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Before missing time with the injury, Harris started all 14 of his appearances for the Nets this season, averaging 11.3 points, four rebounds, and one assist per game. His biggest strength has once again been his 3-point shooting, as his 46.6% (on 6.3 attempts per contest) is the second-best mark in the league among qualified shooters behind only teammate Patty Mills.
