Flemings was among the numerous freshmen who shined in the NCAA last season, averaging 16.1 points, 5.2 assists, 4.1 boards, and 1.5 steals across 37 appearances.
The 19-year-old went off for 42 points against Texas Tech in January, setting a new single-game school record by a freshman.
Flemings' campaign earned him All-Big 12 first-team honors and a consensus All-American second-team nod. He was also a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, which is annually given to the top point guard in college basketball.
"I don't think Kingston's a top-10 pick. I think he's a top-five pick," Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson told reporters, including Chris Baldwin of PaperCity Magazine. "If I was an NBA team, I'd draft him in (the) top five. And he may (go there)."
Sampson added: "I've either coached against or seen most of the good players this year. I wouldn't trade any of them for Kingston Flemings."
