Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal will be sidelined and re-evaluated in three weeks in an attempt to rehabilitate a recurring lower back injury, the team announced Friday.

Beal, 30, missed the Suns' last game and has featured in only three contests the season after missing the start of the campaign and training camp due to the back concern.

The Suns previously opted for a cautious approach with Beal's injury, ruling him out for the team's first seven regular-season outings.

Phoenix's star trio - Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Beal - have yet to all play together this season due to injuries for the latter two.

Beal is averaging 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on 39.1% shooting for the Suns this season.

The three-time All-Star was traded to Phoenix in June from the Washington Wizards as part of a blockbuster package that included Chris Paul.
