The 2024 NBA Draft could have a vastly different feel to it.

The league is finalizing plans for the 2024 NBA Draft to take place across two evenings, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Final approval is reportedly required from the National Basketball Players Association. If the changes are accepted, the second round will be pushed to a second day.

The NBA and its teams are hoping this change will give clubs more time to make trades and strategize for the second night, according to Wojnarowski. Teams have apparently been frustrated with the chaotic speed of Round 2.

The plan will also cater better to programming for the league's television rights partners, Wojnarowski adds.

The NBA draft has consisted of two rounds since 1989.

If the change is approved, the 2024 NBA Draft would take place June 26 and 27 in Brooklyn.
