Porzingis misses Game 5 win over Heat due to calf strain
Boston Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis missed the team's 118-84 Game 5 win over the Miami Heat on Wednesday due to a soleus strain in his right calf.
With the win, Boston eliminated Miami to reach the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Porzingis is expected to miss several games, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. He left Monday's 102-88 win in the second quarter due to calf tightness.
Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla said Porzingis will be re-evaluated in one week, according to The Athletic's Jared Weiss.
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo sustained the same injury earlier in April. Antetokounmpo has missed the last seven contests between the regular season and playoffs.
Porzingis missed 25 regular-season games due to various injuries, including four contests in November with a left calf strain. He averaged 20.1 points and 7.5 rebounds in his first campaign with Boston.
