Report: T-Wolves acquire Dosunmu from Bulls
The Minnesota Timberwolves are acquiring Ayo Dosunmu and Julian Phillips from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller, and four second-round picks, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Dosunmu has spent his entire career with the Bulls since being drafted with the No. 38 overall pick in 2021.
The Illinois product is enjoying a solid 2025-26 campaign, averaging career bests in both scoring (15 points per game) and 3-point percentage (45.1%).
Dosunmu gives the T-Wolves a dependable backcourt option off the bench who can also occasionally handle point guard duties.
The 26-year-old is on an expiring deal but is eligible to sign a three-year extension prior to June 30, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks. The T-Wolves also inherited Dosunmu's Bird rights, which allows them to exceed the salary cap to re-sign him.
Minnesota traded for Dillingham's rights in the 2024 NBA Draft, but he's struggled to make much of an impact. The Kentucky product is averaging four points and 1.7 assists across 84 career appearances.
Dillingham is under contract through at least 2026-27 and has a team option for the following campaign.
The T-Wolves acquired Miller in another draft night deal in 2023. The Canadian has made 49 appearances for a total of 179 minutes through three NBA seasons.
