Ohio State announced forward Brice Sensabaugh will miss the remainder of the campaign due to a knee injury, according to Bill Landis of Rivals.

The freshman is the Buckeyes' leading scorer at 16.3 points per game this season.

Sensabaugh did not play in Friday's 68-58 win over Michigan State in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals after starting in Ohio State's first two games of the competition. The Buckeyes take on top-seeded Purdue on Saturday for a chance to play for the conference tournament title.

The first-year standout shot 40.5% from deep on 4.5 attempts per contest. He also added 5.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game as Ohio State tallied a 5-15 conference record (15-18 overall), finishing only above Minnesota in the conference's regular season.

"Brice has had an outstanding freshman season and played very well down the stretch," Buckeyes head coach Chris Holtmann said in a statement. "I know how badly he wanted to play, and we are disappointed for him. We are proud of him and his continued development as a player and I know he's looking forward to supporting his teammates again today."

Sensabaugh was named to both the All-Big Ten third team and the Big Ten All-Freshman squad Tuesday.
