Duke lands 5-star recruit Cameron Williams
Five-star power forward Cameron Williams committed to Duke on Friday, according to Jeff Borzell and Paul Biancardi of ESPN.
Williams, who's from St. Mary's High School in Phoenix, ranks as the No. 3 prospect on the 2026 ESPN 100.
The 18-year-old picked Duke over Arizona and Texas.
"Duke has everything I need to develop," Williams said. "They laid out a detailed plan on how I would fit. Offensively, they play a five-out system, and they see me on the perimeter using my skill, shooting ability, and versatility - but I will go inside when I have the advantage. Defensively, I can switch and protect the rim."
Williams added that he was impressed with Blue Devils head coach Jon Scheyer.
"I felt coach Scheyer was cool, normal, and authentic in what he said and did," Williams said. "I watched practice, and I saw he is not a crazy coach, but he does get intense. He gets along well with his players. My family felt the same."
The 6-foot-11 Williams averaged 18 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.8 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game in his junior year.
