Vikings' Addison won't face 49ers in Week 2
The Minnesota Vikings won't have one of their main weapons in Week 2.
The Vikings ruled out wide receiver Jordan Addison for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers due to an ankle injury.
Addison missed practice all week after sustaining the ailment during last week's victory over the New York Giants.
Addison stood out with 70 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie last year.
With the 2023 first-rounder sidelined, Jalen Nailor and Trishton Jackson are presumably in line to receive more targets behind Justin Jefferson on the depth chart. Nailor caught a 21-yard touchdown in Week 1.
Jackson didn't play last week but was praised by head coach Kevin O'Connell on Friday.
"He had a great camp," O'Connell said, according to Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune. "We've got a lot of confidence in him to fill in any one of those three (WR) spots."
