Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell suffered a torn ACL and dislocated kneecap Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs, head coach DeMeco Ryans announced Monday.

Dell will miss the rest of the season. He was carted off in the third quarter after taking a hit while securing a touchdown catch. The 25-year-old was taken to a trauma center, where he remained overnight for further evaluation.

This marks a second consecutive season-ending injury for Dell after entering the league as a third-round pick in 2023. The Houston product underwent foot surgery to repair a fractured fibula last December. He also sustained minor injuries after he was wounded in a shootout at a restaurant in April.

Dell is second on the Texans in targets (81), receptions (51), receiving yards 667), and touchdowns (three) this season.

Veteran safety Jimmie Ward will also miss the rest of the year due to a foot injury he sustained Saturday. He was carted off in the second quarter and didn't return after trying to tackle Travis Kelce.

Ward, 33, has started 10 games for the Texans this season, totaling 48 tackles and two interceptions.

Houston will face off against the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day.
