Report: Packers re-sign McDuffie to 2-year, $8M deal
The Green Bay Packers have re-signed linebacker Isaiah McDuffie to a two-year, $8-million contract, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
The deal could be worth as much as $9.5 million with incentives, Fowler adds.
McDuffie started all 17 games for the first time in his career this past season. The 25-year-old ranked second on the Packers with 97 combined tackles and also tallied three tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and 0.5 sacks.
He was set to become a free agent this offseason alongside fellow linebacker Eric Wilson, who still does not have a new contract.
Green Bay selected McDuffie in the sixth round of the 2021 draft out of Boston College.
The Packers still have a decision to make concerning the future of linebacker Quay Walker, who's led the team in tackles all three campaigns of his career. Green Bay has until May 1 to pick up the fifth-year option on his rookie deal, which would keep the former first-round pick under contract through the 2026 season.
