Report: Seahawks seeking 1st-, 3rd-round picks for Metcalf
The Seattle Seahawks are asking teams for a first- and third-round pick for wide receiver DK Metcalf, sources told The Athletic's Dianna Russini.
Metcalf is looking for a new deal that gives him around $30 million per year, Russini added. Multiple teams have expressed interest and inquired about the 27-year-old.
Reports surfaced Wednesday that Metcalf requested a trade from the organization that drafted him in 2019. The Seahawks were upset that the wide receiver's request was leaked the day the team released fellow wide receiver Tyler Lockett, a source told ESPN's Brady Henderson.
Metcalf has one year left on his three-year, $72-million contract, and is one of the top receivers available on the trade market. The wide receiver caught 66 passes for 992 yards and five touchdowns in 2024. The Seahawks finished 10-7 and didn't qualify for the postseason.
