Titans release pass-rusher Landry
The Tennessee Titans released pass-rusher Harold Landry, the team announced Friday.
The Titans reportedly granted Landry permission to seek a trade this offseason. Landry had two seasons remaining on the five-year, $87.5-million contract he signed in 2022. Tennessee is set to save $10.95 million against the salary cap with the move, per Over the Cap.
The former second-round pick tallied 50.5 sacks across seven years with the Titans, though he missed the entirety of 2022 after tearing his ACL. Landry started all 17 games in 2024 and led Tennessee with nine sacks. He also totaled 71 tackles and four pass deflections.
Landry was a key contributor to a Titans team that went to the playoffs three straight years from 2019-21. He earned the lone Pro Bowl selection of his career in 2021.
Tennessee holds the first overall pick in this year's NFL draft, and Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter is projected to be among the first players selected.
The Titans finished with a league-worst 3-14 record in 2024, missing the postseason for a third consecutive campaign.
