Browns sign former 49ers DT Collins to 2-year, $20M deal
The Cleveland Browns are signing Maliek Collins to a two-year, $20-million contract, the defensive tackle's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Collins' deal includes $13 million fully guaranteed.
The San Francisco 49ers officially released Collins earlier Wednesday.
Collins is entering his 10th NFL season. He spent one year in San Francisco after stops with the Houston Texans, Las Vegas Raiders, and Dallas Cowboys. Dallas selected Collins in the third round in 2016.
The soon-to-be 30-year-old tied a career high with five sacks last season while tallying 33 total tackles and two fumble recoveries. He hasn't missed more than two games in a season since 2020 and appeared in all 17 contests in 2024.
Collins has 30.5 sacks and 51 tackles for loss across 136 career appearances.
He joins a Browns interior defensive line that includes Shelby Harris and Mike Hall Jr., among others. The team released defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson this week.
