The Los Angeles Rams are signing cornerback Jaylen Watson to a three-year, $51-million contract with $34 million guaranteed, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Watson will join former Kansas City Chiefs teammate Trent McDuffie in L.A. after the Rams traded for the star cornerback Wednesday.
The 27-year-old had been a member of the Chiefs since they selected him in the seventh round of the 2022 draft. He started 15 games last season while playing over 95% of the snaps in those contests, recording 64 tackles, six passes defended, and two interceptions.
Los Angeles has been proactive in reworking its secondary after the team allowed Sam Darnold to throw for 346 yards and three touchdowns in the NFC Championship Game.
