Clark selected by Fever with No. 1 pick in 2024 WNBA Draft
The Indiana Fever selected Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft on Monday in Brooklyn, New York.
The selection amounts to one of the most predictable picks in the WNBA draft's 28-year history after Clark, 22, shattered several NCAA records during her celebrated tenure with the Hawkeyes.
The NCAA Division I's all-time leading scorer (men and women) and two-time reigning AP Player of the Year should add a scoring boost to a Fever side that hasn't made the playoffs since 2016.
The Los Angeles Sparks selected Stanford star Cameron Brink with the second overall pick and Tennessee forward Rickea Jackson with the fourth. The Chicago Sky drafted recently-crowned national champion Kamilla Cardoso third overall and former NCAA title winner Angel Reese No. 7.
