The Minnesota Lynx agreed to a one-year, $1.4-million supermax contract with forward Napheesa Collier, sources told ESPN's Kendra Andrews.

Collier is the third WNBA player to sign a supermax contract after averaging 22.9 points and finishing second in MVP voting.

The 29-year-old missed seven games during the 2025 season due to an ankle injury. She injured the same ankle during Game 3 of the WNBA semifinals, ending her season in the process. The Lynx lost in the semifinals to the Phoenix Mercury despite owning the best record during the regular season.

Collier, who required surgery on both of her ankles, is expected to miss the start of the upcoming season.

A number of key players won't be returning to the Lynx, with Natisha Hiedeman, Jessica Shepard, Alanna Smith, and DiJonai Carrington departing via free agency, and Bridget Carleton being selected by the Portland Fire in the expansion draft.
