The New Orleans Saints are re-signing pass-rusher Chase Young, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

It's a three-year, $51-million contract, Rapoport adds.

The 25-year-old was considered one of the top edge rushers available on the free-agent market this year.

Young just finished his first year in New Orleans after joining the team on a one-year, $13-million deal last offseason. He totaled 5.5 sacks and 31 tackles while appearing in every game for the Saints.

The Washington Commanders drafted Young second overall in 2020. The former Ohio State Buckeye was selected to the lone Pro Bowl of his career in his first campaign and also claimed Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.

Young spent four seasons in Washington but missed significant stretches of the 2021 and 2022 campaigns due to injury. He was then traded to the San Francisco 49ers in the middle of the 2023 season ahead of their run to the Super Bowl.

Young has 22 sacks across 60 career games.

The Saints also acquired defensive tackle Davon Godchaux from the New England Patriots for a 2026 seventh-round pick and re-signed defensive lineman Nathan Shepherd earlier Monday.

In addition to Young, New Orleans' pass-rush group includes Cam Jordan and Carl Granderson, among others.
