The NHL handed a pair of suspensions to the Tampa Bay Lightning for actions in Saturday's preseason game against the Florida Panthers.

Defenseman J.J. Moser was suspended for two games for boarding Jesper Boqvist, while forward Scott Sabourin received a two-game ban for roughing Aaron Ekblad.

Moser drilled Boqvist from behind.

Sabourin laid out Ekblad before throwing punches.

The game featured a combined 16 ejections and 322 penalty minutes.

Additionally, the Lightning organization was fined $100,000, head coach Jon Cooper $25,000, forward Gage Goncalves $3,215, and defenseman Roman Schmidt $2,098. The Panthers didn't receive any supplemental discipline.

Moser is a key piece of Tampa Bay's blue line. He tallied 14 points in 52 games last season while averaging 18:51 per contest - third-most among the Lightning's defense. He'll miss outings against the Ottawa Senators and New Jersey Devils.

Sabourin didn't make the Lightning's opening-night roster.
