University of Minnesota defender Chloe Primerano was among 25 players named to Canada's roster for the opening leg of the Rivalry Series on Wednesday.

It's the first time that Primerano, 17, will feature for Canada's senior national team. The phenom was named MVP of the World Under-18s in January after she scored eight goals and 16 points in six games.

Primerano has one goal and four points in eight NCAA games to start her rookie campaign. The North Vancouver native was the first female skater to be drafted by a Canadian Hockey League team in 2022 when the WHL's Vancouver Giants selected her in the 13th round.

Here's the rest of the roster that will face Team USA for three games on Nov. 6, 8, and 10:

Watts racked up a whopping 136 goals and 297 points in 172 career games in the NCAA at Boston College and Wisconsin but never cracked the national team's roster. She won the Patty Kazmaier Award as a rookie in 2018 and was a top-three finalist in two other seasons.

Sceptres forward and Team Canada mainstay Natalie Spooner is sidelined as she recovers from knee surgery.
