Mohamed Salah was only fit enough to make the bench for Sunday's blockbuster title clash between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Andy Robertson also started on the bench for Liverpool.

Manuel Akanji replaced Ruben Dias in City's lineup, with Jeremy Doku, who started in the Manchester derby, making way for Julian Alvarez.

Salah returned to training Wednesday after missing four matches with a hamstring injury and played a cameo role in Liverpool's 5-1 thrashing of Sparta Prague in the Europa League the following day.

Ibrahima Konate missed out altogether after leaving the Europa League clash with a thigh problem.

Alisson, Diogo Jota, and Trent Alexander-Arnold remain on the sidelines with long-term injuries.
