Title-chasing Manchester City's dominance over Luton Town on Saturday was rewarded with a resounding 5-1 win that featured three high-quality strikes.

Mateo Kovacic's vicious volley made it 2-0 to the reigning Premier League champions after Daiki Hashioka's early own goal.

There were more fine goals to come for Pep Guardiola's men. They followed an Erling Haaland penalty with a superb solo effort from Jeremy Doku.

Josko Gvardiol scored City's fifth goal with a smash from the edge of the box.

Ross Barkley scored for Luton between the Haaland and Doku strikes.

City boosted their goal difference while moving to the top of the Premier League table with their dominant victory. On Sunday, Liverpool suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield and Arsenal fell 2-0 to Aston Villa after late goals from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins in north London.
