Denmark and Belgium observed a minute's applause for Christian Eriksen in the 10th minute of Thursday's Euro 2020 match in Copenhagen, spurring an outpouring of emotion days after the midfielder suffered cardiac arrest.

The players joined the fans in applause, while a section of the stadium unfurled a banner reading, "All of Denmark is with you, Christian."

Eriksen is recovering in hospital after collapsing in the first half of Denmark's Euro opener against Finland. He said he's doing fine "under the circumstances."

The Danes made an immediate impact in their second match, with Yussuf Poulsen scoring the second-quickest goal in tournament history. Poulsen arrowed a shot past Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois inside just 99 seconds following a giveaway by Jason Denayer.
