Since making his NBA debut in December 2011, Kemba Walker has faced LeBron James 28 times.

To this day, Walker has never beaten the King.

"What can I say? The guy was the best player to play in my league, in my generation," Walker said of James, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps. "He's been the greatest player over the last, what, 15 years?

"So, yeah. It is what it is."

The one-sided rivalry will return to the forefront on Monday when James' Los Angeles Lakers travel to face the Boston Celtics. Walker joined Boston this season after spending the first eight years of his NBA career with the Charlotte Hornets/Bobcats franchise.

Walker's 0-28 record versus James includes both the regular season (0-24) and playoffs (0-4). It spans James' tenure with the Miami Heat (0-14), Cleveland Cavaliers (0-12), and Lakers (0-2).

If the Celtics lose to the Lakers on Monday and then fall in L.A. on Feb. 23, Walker would tie the all-time NBA record for head-to-head futility. The current standard-bearer is former Eastern Conference guard Sherman Douglas, who went winless in 30 career meetings with Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan during the 1990s.
