Embiid out vs. Knicks after spraining shoulder Wednesday
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will not play in Thursday's contest against the New York Knicks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The All-Star big man exited Wednesday's 108-94 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers with a left shoulder sprain and will reportedly undergo further evaluation.

Following his shortened appearance in Cleveland, Embiid is averaging 23.3 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 34.2% on threes this season.
The 76ers are already facing the tough task of replacing the production of Ben Simmons, Embiid's fellow All-Star. The supersized point guard is reportedly sidelined for at least two weeks with a nerve impingement in his lower back, and he isn't expected to be close to a return immediately following his initial re-evaluation.
