The Miami Heat are bringing back restricted free agent forward Caleb Martin on a three-year, $20.5-million contract, the Sun Sentinel's Ira Winderman reports.
The Heat will use the $6.5-million full taxpayer mid-level exception to sign Martin. His new contract is fully guaranteed, according to the Miami Herald's Anthony Chiang.
Martin excelled in a bench role during his debut season with the Heat in 2021-22. The 26-year-old averaged 9.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists while shooting 50.7% from the field and 41.3% from distance across 60 appearances.
Before joining Miami, Martin played his first two NBA seasons with the Charlotte Hornets alongside his twin brother and now-former teammate Cody Martin.
Martin played his college ball at NC State and Nevada. He originally signed with the Hornets in July 2019 after going undrafted.
