New York Knicks guard Josh Hart bestowed a new nickname on Karl-Anthony Towns following the big man's preseason debut with the team Sunday.
Hart shared a clip on X of Towns from the Knicks' 111-109 victory over the Charlotte Hornets, dubbing his new teammate "The Big Bodega."
Towns finished with 10 points on 2-for-7 shooting and four rebounds in 15 minutes.
"I know their talents, so it's a matter of playing with them," Towns said postgame, according to The Associated Press. "Finally getting to put a Knicks jersey on and playing five-on-five, that was really cool."
The 28-year-old, who grew up in New Jersey as a Knicks fan, was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves in September as part of a three-team trade.
