New York Knicks All-Star guard Jalen Brunson is expected to be out of action through late March or into early April, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
Brunson has been sidelined since he sprained his right ankle March 6 against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The team initially announced Brunson would be out for at least two weeks after the injury.
The Knicks have posted a 2-1 record in the three games Brunson's been out of the lineup.
Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau has shifted guard Miles McBride into the starting lineup in Brunson's absence. McBride is shooting almost 43% from three-point range and is averaging 13 points, six assists, and 2.3 steals per game since moving into the starting five.
