Dallas Mavericks star Cooper Flagg will be re-evaluated next week after being diagnosed with a mild left shoulder sprain, the team announced Saturday.

Flagg will miss Saturday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. He sustained the injury during Friday's win against the Indiana Pacers on a hard foul from Aaron Nesmith.

Nesmith was assessed a flagrant-1 and a technical foul on the play.

The 19-year-old Flagg had 14 points, six assists, and five rebounds in 17 minutes before his abrupt exit Friday. He scored 32 points in the Mavericks' opener against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

The 2025-26 Rookie of the Year averaged 21 points and 6.7 boards over 33.5 minutes in 70 games last season.
