Unfortunately, my time at Kentucky has not gone as I had hoped ... I must continue to do what I know is best for my future."
Whitney arrived in Lexington as the No. 12 prospect on the 2019 ESPN 100 but logged only 12.9 minutes per game this season, mostly off the bench. He averaged 3.3 points on 37% shooting.
He will likely enter the NCAA's transfer portal.
