Georgia Southern will hire Texas Tech assistant Brian Burg as their new men's basketball head coach, sources told CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.
Burg will replace Mark Byington, who left Georgia Southern this week to take the head job at James Madison.
Burg has been a part of Chris Beard's staff with the Red Raiders since 2016. Georgia Southern hasn't reached the NCAA Tournament since 1992.
