NBA team personnel will be allowed to scout college prospects in games at venues where public access is permitted during the 2020-21 season, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
Scouting of players reportedly won't be permitted at team practices as a precautionary measure amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The 2020-21 campaign is set to begin Nov. 25. Teams will participate in as many as 27 games throughout the season - a reduction from the previous cap of 31.
The NBA has taken its own preventative steps in response to COVID-19, introducing a virtual draft combine for prospects who could potentially enter the league next season. The combine runs from Sept. 28 through early-to-mid-November ahead of the NBA Draft on Nov. 18.
